HISTORY OF THE HOUSE
Lily Butters founded a hospital in 1948 in the farmhouse of her family near Lake Memphremagog, in the village of Austin to accommodate children with disabilities of Intellectual.
In the mid 70s it hosts 435 children. In 1972, Lily Butters was the largest employer of Brome County. The Butters Foundation was launched in 1976 (http://buttersfoundation.ca/).
Her retirement home, today became the Auberge les Pignons Verts, inaugurates this year a suite in honor of this great lady.
